American Airlines Center in Dallas Texas

American Airlines Center in Dallas Texas or more commonly referred to as AAC is where music enthusiasts flock to when they would like to benefit from the top touring functions in Dallas, Texas and the Southwest. On July 27, 2001, the facility opened with the largest ribbon-cutting ceremony ever, according to the Guinness Book of Records. The first event at American Airlines Center took place the next day with an Eagles concert. On the next night, the arena hosted the last show of Michael Flatley’s Feet of Flames tour. The first sporting event took place on August 19, 2001, with the Dallas Sidekicks of the World Indoor Soccer League taking on the San Diego Sockers. That causes it to be the region’s premier and longest-running outside facility devoted exclusively to live acts and concerts. Some of the performers who’ve played at the AAC include Madonna, Dixie Chicks, Dave Matthews Band, Fleetwood Mac, Bon Jovi, The Eagles, WWE, Ringling Brothers Circus, Andrea Bocelli, Justin Bieber, Rush and many, many more.

The outside of AA Center consists of brick, limestone and granite and also the signature archways offer an open arm thanks for visiting Dallas. The venue has four entrances, one on each one of the sides the building for simple access. The south and north finishes from the building feature dramatic outside balconies in the Platinum Level with spectacular sights of downtown Dallas overlooking the general public plaza and landscape of Dallas.

Victory Park

Victory Park is home to over one thousand homes, over 600,000 square feet of office space, the W Dallas-Victory Hotel, and street-front merchants and {dining establishments. Also located within Victory Park is the American Airlines Center, home of the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars, House of Blues, and Perot Museum of Nature and Science. Residents and tenants are within walking distance of the Katy Trail, a 3.5-mile walking, jogging and bike path, the DART commuter rail and the Trinity Rail Express, connecting Victory Park to various other parts of DFW, and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

Anchoring the 72-acre Victory Park development, American Airlines Center serves as the backdrop to Dallas’ most vibrant urban gathering space. Built on land that was once home to an old city dump, a meat packing plant and an old power plant, Victory Park is the largest Environmental Protection Agency brownfield project in the United States.

The time the doors to the American Airlines Center open will vary according to the event. The typical times are noted below. Please check the event’s detail page for the exact time the doors open.

Mavericks – Fan shop doors open two hours prior to game time. All other doors open one and one half hour prior to game time.
Stars – All doors open one and one half hour prior to game time.
Concerts – Doors open one hour prior to the event unless otherwise specifically noted

Guest are not permitted to bring any food or drinks into the American Airlines Center. Containers such as bottles, cans, thermos bottles or plastic coolers are not permitted for the safety of our guests.

Parking
Parking is located on site and the charges are:

Blue Parking : $15.00-$20.00
Green Parking : $10.00
AudiPark : $15-$20
Orange Lot (G-Lot) : $20.00-$25.00 (when available).

Camera Policy:
Can I bring a camera into the American Airlines Center?

Restrictions of still and video cameras vary by event. The event producers determine this policy and not American Airlines Center. Please check the event detail page under special information for the concert or family show that you are attending.

Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars allow cameras without flash at games. Professional cameras (cameras that have a lens 3 or 6 inches in length) are not allowed in American Airlines Center unless accompanied by proper media credentials for Dallas Mavericks and all concerts. Dallas Stars allow cameras of any size, as long as they are not placed on a tripod.

Audio and video cameras are strictly prohibited at all events at American Airlines Center.

Children Rules
Most events (some family shows may be excluded) children 2 yrs and over are required to have a ticket.
